It is a unique place in Europe to carry out research on unmanned aerial vehicles and radar technologies.<\/h5>\n<p>The Center includes laboratories and workshops for producing, testing and servicing drones. It established also computing center and an airspace monitoring system based on passive radars. Thanks to this, Przasnysz is the first town in the world whose airspace is monitored using this technology.<\/p>\n<p>The particular emphasis is put on launching a national center of competence in using drones for agriculture and forestry. This will allow the development of unmanned aerial vehicle technology in Poland and the construction of fully autonomous systems that can independently carry out various tasks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe opening of the Center is a huge success, in line with the implementation of the current strategy of the Warsaw University of Technology. Thanks to the cooperation with local authorities, government administration and the use of European Union funds, we have the opportunity to conduct unique and much needed research. Drones are a permanent element of our reality today, and their role will increase,\u00a0also due to the international situation\u201d, said the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology, Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of the laboratory is one of the elements of the project &#8220;Field Research and Implementation Training Ground in Przasnysz Poviat&#8221;. The aim of the project is to strengthen the research and development activity of the university and increase the commercialization of research results.<\/p>\n<p>The investment cost is PLN 33 million, including PLN 24 million for the purchase of research equipment.
