Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said during a press conference that the presidents saw atrocities committed by Putin’s regime during their stay in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think that other world leaders should go to Borodyanka and other places and see it with their own eyes. This would probably lead to more decisive action on the part of the European Union\u201d, said the Lithuanian president, who said that we should abandon all illusions that Putin’s regime can be defeated by diplomatic actions.<\/p>\n
The President of Estonia emphasized that his country provides military and humanitarian aid, and Estonians admire the courage of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his people.<\/p>\n
\u201cYesterday we visited two places in Ukraine, crime scenes, and we were speechless. The people who committed these crimes, started this war and killed civilians, including children, they must stand trial\u201d, said Alar Karis.<\/p>\n
Latvian President Egils Levits also spoke about Russian crimes and the need to punish the perpetrators.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have seen the atrocities committed by Russia in Ukraine with our own eyes. We believe that the responsible perpetrators should be brought before international tribunals to be punished. Because such war crimes cannot be tolerated by the international community\u201d, Levits said, adding that such a tribunal\u00a0for\u00a0the case of crimes in Ukraine should resemble the one in the case of Serb crimes.<\/p>\n
