Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Prof. Piotr Gli\u0144ski is glad that after the open-air exhibition of the folk artist Maria Prymachenko, Kordegarda managed to organize an exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian art. \u201cThe exhibition is primarily an artistic dimension, but today we must also think about a broader context. In these works, we should also see a reference to the ongoing war, i.e. the brutal attack by the Russian Federation and the heroic defense of the Ukrainians\u201d, said Gli\u0144ski.<\/p>\n
The minister stated that Polish cultural institutions are extremely active in helping Ukraine in many respects, they are active also abroad, directly cooperating with the Ukrainian government and fighting to support the defense of Ukraine<\/p>\n
\u201cIn view of this oppression, we must be together. Yesterday I participated in the Council of the European Union for culture. In this forum, the division is clearly visible, so we must constantly fight for aid from international institutions to reach Ukraine. The current support proposals, proposed by European countries, are insufficient\u201d, assessed the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.<\/p>\n
In addition to the paintings and collages of Nikita Tsoy, the exhibition is presenting the drawing works of Vasyl Savchenko and the sculptural works of Oleh Kapustyak. The artists are united by subtlety, lyricism and melancholy. They appeal to the collective unconscious and archetypes. The title “Maps” is most readable in the works of Oleh Kapustyak, whose geometric sculptures represent city plans, and sometimes individual buildings.<\/p>\n
