The main topic of the meeting of the Council of Political Advisors to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki was the current situation in Ukraine caused by Russian aggression. It was reminded that from February 24, more than 2.5 million Ukrainians had already arrived in Poland\u00a0fleeing the war.<\/p>\n

The position on introducing further strong sanctions against Moscow was maintained.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, Poland has been making efforts to impose the broadest possible package of sanctions on Russia. Such consistent actions contributed to the fact that subsequent sectors of the Russian economy were subject to penalties. Poland maintains that it is necessary to introduce further strong and severe sanctions against Moscow, including confiscation of the property of oligarchs who support brutal aggression against Ukraine\u201d, states the Council of Political Advisers.<\/p>\n
