Today, on Thursday, March 17 at about 4.00 am the railway network suffered from faults of control devices in tens of local control centers responsible for railway traffic management. The situation requires the protection of equipment in the field and additional activities of employees. There are changes in the running of trains, even over several dozen minutes.<\/p>\n
Miros\u0142aw Skubiszy\u0144ski, vice-president of Polish Railways said at a press conference that the failure range covers approximately 820 km of railway lines in Poland. Some of the trains will not be launched at all today, the effects for passengers will be felt for a very long time.<\/p>\n
\u201cDue to the occurrence of failures of railway traffic control devices, a meeting of the Critical Incidents Team will be held today in accordance with Art. 36 on the national cybersecurity system”- said Janusz Cieszy\u0144ski, the government’s representative for cybersecurity.<\/p>\n
