This year\u2019s spring collection will include three outstanding visionaries and reformers: W\u0142adys\u0142aw Grabski, Leon Biegeleisen and Jan Stanis\u0142aw Lewi\u0144ski. Their images will be featured in the popular series \u201cThe Great Polish economists\u201d. The first coin will present the image of W\u0142adys\u0142aw Grabski. It will be issued in April.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Collector banknotes and coins issued by Narodowy Bank Polski commemorate important events, outstanding figures, authorities and their contributions to the history of Poland. With the series \u201cThe Great Polish economists\u201d, NBP wishes to honour great Poles whose achievements make up the history of the Polish economy.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Reformer of state finances<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>W\u0142adys\u0142aw Grabski (1874-1938) was a Polish politician, economist, historian, and independence activist<strong>.\u00a0<\/strong>He was the main author of the currency reform of 1924, which led to the stabilization of the budget and the suppression of hyperinflation.<br \/>\nIn his work \u201cOn Our Own Strength\u201d, he wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In order to gain or even maintain our rightful position among the nations of the world, we should develop economic virtues, shape the character and disposition of the widest strata of the population working as manual labourers or white-collar workers, so we would not feel weaker than others in economic struggles and could count on our success in the world.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The silver collector coin dedicated to W\u0142adys\u0142aw Grabski will be the first issue this year to enrich the series \u201cThe Great Polish economists\u201d. Narodowy Bank Polski has planned its issue for 21April 2022. The next coins, dedicated to Leon Biegeleisen and Jan Stanis\u0142aw Lewi\u0144ski, will be put into circulation on 5 May 2022.<\/p>\n<p><em> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10318 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dignitynews.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/m_merged-300x152.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"554\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dignitynews.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/m_merged-300x152.png 300w, https:\/\/dignitynews.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/m_merged-768x390.png 768w, https:\/\/dignitynews.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/m_merged-585x297.png 585w, https:\/\/dignitynews.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/m_merged.png 962w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 554px) 100vw, 554px\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>The silver coin dedicated to W\u0142adys\u0142aw Grabski will open this year\u2019s series of NBP issues of \u201cThe Great Polish economists\u201d series.<\/em><\/p>\n<h6><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h6>\n<h6><strong>The series of NBP collector coins \u201cThe Great Polish economists\u201d<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>The series of NBP collector coins \u201cThe Great Polish economists\u201d was inaugurated in 2017. Its purpose is to commemorate outstanding Polish specialists in economics whose achievements contributed to the development of this science.<\/p>\n<p>The collector\u2019s series consists of coins with a face value of PLN 10 with images of distinguished Polish economists. The first coin issued featured Nicolaus Copernicus, who is primarily known as an outstanding astronomer, although his achievements in economics were also significant. Subsequent coins featured, among others, Fryderyk Skarbek, Edward Taylor and Tadeusz Brzeski. As part of \u201cThe Great Polish economists\u201d series, in autumn 2022 NBP will also present W\u0142adys\u0142aw Zawadzki and Micha\u0142 Kalecki.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbp.pl\/home.aspx?f=\/banknoty_i_monety\/monety_okolicznosciowe\/serie\/ekonomisci.html\">See the entire series of collector coins \u201cThe Great Polish economists\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Offline or online coin purchase<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Collector coins can be purchased by anyone who would like to enrich their collection or just launch it.
